Danny Webber
Danny has practiced exclusively in the area of entertainment & media law since 1996, having commenced his career with Canada’s largest commercial theatre producer Mirvish Productions, and then later joining the acquisitions and business affairs department at Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting. Since 1999 Danny has worked in private practice representing a diverse clientele which includes film, television, interactive media and theatre producers, distributors, talent agents, writers, directors, actors, journalists, designers, animators, artists, website developers, composers, musicians and publicists. He advises on all aspects of development, production, financing, intellectual property protection, licensing and distribution of feature films, television programs, live theatre, music, publishing, interactive media projects and music.
Danny is co-author of the chapter “Business Concepts in the Film and Television Industry” in the textbook “Entertainment Law in Canada” and a frequent speaker at industry events and seminars. He is a founder, past president and current executive board member of the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company. He is also a registered Trademark agent and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
